An area to the west of the gas production area has been machine excavated. This appears to be a gas production area, which has been built on to an early pottery area. Further excavation of this area will reveal the relationship of this area to the main kiln bank.
The excavation of the eastern yard has been completed. This area appears to have consisted of a kiln room, work shop and railway with a later addition of the machine room. The kiln room and railway appear to have been in use for the life of the pottery. The workshop appears to have been levelled after its use and the area reused for working surfaces.

An exciting highlight of this week was the last open day held at the site. There were several activities for the public such as pot washing. Wasters, such as bottles and jars found on the site were also given away. The day was a great success and hopefully inspired new generation of archaeologists.
