Comparison Paper on International Bridges and Tunnels (Nov 2007) This paper highlights similarities and differences of comparable bridge and tunnel designs from around the world with those proposed as part of the Forth Replacement Crossing Study.

Information Note on Wind shielding (July 2007) This note gives further more detailed information about the types of windshielding available and examples of where windshielding is in use on other bridges.
Information Note on HGV restrictions (July 2007) This note uses Transport Model for Scotland (TMfS) to illustrate the likely diversion routes associated with closure of the Forth Road Bridge to HGV’s in 2013.
Information Note on Weekend Delays (June 2007) This note reports on the levels of queuing measured at weekends during contraflow operations during the summer of 2007.

No.5 - Final Report - Non-technical summary  A non technical summary of the Final Report, summarising the findings of all the work undertaken during the course of the study is also available.
No. 4 - Appraisal of options Assess the FRC options using the Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG)
No. 3 - Generate options for potential replacement crossing Identify options which will address and give solutions to the problems previously identified
No. 2 - Determining network performance Identify the level of performance we should expect from the network. Identify any problems
No. 1 - Assessment of transport network Assessment of existing and forecasted future conditions of the transport network within the corridors of Forth Road and Rail Bridges
Environmental report

The Scottish Government has undertaken a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the Forth Replacement Crossing Study, the findings of which are presented in this Environmental Report. This is in accordance with EC Directive 2001/42/EC and regulation 16(2) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 (2005 asp 15).

The Environmental Report will inform the progress of the Forth Replacement Crossing Study, promote sustainable development and increase public involvement in environmental decision making.
