Key facts about the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) Project:
- 1.9 km on new track will be laid
- The new link will deliver positive benefits to the economy with £1.28 returned for every £1 spent constructing the link
- 1.8 million passengers a year by 2030
- Glasgow Airport usage to double to 17million by 2030
- Will help to support 1,300 jobs
- Help generate £3.14m per annum in tourism and leisure employment.
