Forth Viaduct

Forth Viaduct

The 100m Forth Viaduct across the River Forth, which lies just east of Stirling Station, is the largest structure on the Stirling Alloa Kincardine line.

Wrapping and scaffolding, that has protected the Forth Viaduct while vital work has been carried out over the past ten months, has now been removed.

The viaduct’s steel members have been replaced and structural support of the piers has been carried out. New deck sections have also been installed.

The remainder of the bridge was shot-blasted and repainted and all the waterproofing has been replaced.
