Reports and Archive

A series of reports on the results of the work will be produced throughout 2009, leading to the final report which will be submitted in early 2011 and published thereafter.

The main product will be an academic report published in an archaeological journal. This will include an overview of the project - its aims, research objectives and main findings together with discussion and conclusions – supported by technical and specialist analysis.  In addition, there will be a more popular report which will be available from local bookshops in summer 2011.

Once the analysis and report-writing has been completed, the finds from the digs and the site records will be lodged with the National Monuments Record of Scotland and Treasure Trove. The M74 Oral History Archive will be deposited with the Scottish Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde.
