Borders Railway Project
The Borders Railway Project is an initiative with the ultimate aim of re-establishing a rail link providing passenger services between Edinburgh and the central Borders.

Larkhall to Milngavie Rail Project
The Larkhall to Milngavie Rail Project involves the creation of a 4.7 kilometre electrified single track branch line extending south east from near Hamilton. This project has now been completed.

Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) Project
The proposed new Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) involves a number of elements. Passengers arriving at Glasgow International Airport will be able to take a short trip on a moving walkway to arrive at a modern railway station.

Edinburgh Waverley Station
A project to transform Edinburgh Waverley - to meet passengers' needs – improved station access and capacity for more trains. Due for completion by December 2007.

Edinburgh Tram Link Project
A fixed light rail network will be constructed throughout the outskirts and city centre of Edinburgh.

Airdrie to Bathgate Rail Link Project
The proposed project engineering design is to link the existing Airdrie rail branch to the existing Bathgate branch by providing an electrified double tracked line between Drumgelloch and Bathgate.
