Replacing and renewing cards

Getting a replacement card is easy. In most cases it is best to contact your local authority who will arrange a replacement

Young Person's Scheme

Contact your local authority if:

  • Your Young Scot National Entitlement Card, Bus Concession or ferry voucher is lost, stolen or damaged
  • You want to change your name, address or photo
  • Your Scottish Youth Rail card has expired

If something has happened to your Scottish Youth Railcard visit your local train ticket office to arrange a replacement. Your first replacement card is free, any further replacements will cost £10.

60+ and Disabled Person's Scheme

Contact your local authority or Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) Travel Card Unit if:

  • Your National Entitlement Card is lost, stolen or damaged
  • The card did not work when you used the ticket machine
  • You want to change your name, address or photo

Your National Entitlement Card has an expiry date on the front. If you're 60 or over you'll get a new card sent to you before the old one runs out. If you have a disability your Local Authority or SPT may be in touch 4-6 weeks before the card runs out. If you don't hear from them, or need assistance renewing your card, contact them directly:
