1.Minutes of last meeting
Minutes of 8 September were approved without amendment.
2.Action Points
AP 5: ‘Decide exact wording of resource scenarios’ is ongoing.
Janet Egdell will clear on her return from leave.
AP6: ‘Circulate RUS final scoping document to steering group members’ is now cleared.
3.SPA Part 2
The
first draft of Part Two of the Scottish Planning Assessment has been
has been completed. Stefan Sanders gave the group an overview of the
findings. These will be presented at the Rail Stakeholders Forum on
7th November. It will be stressed at the forum that the findings are in
draft and that this is an opportunity for attendees to express their
views.
The finalised version of Part One of the
Scottish Planning Assessment has been received and arrangements will be
made to publish this on the web.
Action Point: Denise Manzor to arrange for publication of Part 1 of the Scottish Planning Assessment.
4.Progress with the RUS
Nigel
Wunsch told the group that the RUS Stakeholder Management Group met
last week. The work on the baseline is ongoing and it is hope d to
produce a summary within the next couple of weeks. Wider stakeholder
discussions are about to commence and it is hoped that the RUS will go
out to consultation around April next year.
5.Rail Route Investment Group
This
is a Network Rail led group which takes an overview of current
investment. The first meeting was held in September and work is ongoing.
