  • Transport Scotland Electronic Purchasing Cards Expenditure £500 and Above Disclosures for the Financial Years 2013-14 And 2014-15

    Transport Scotland currently review details of items of expenditure over £25,000 prior to publication on a monthly basis. However, in order to maintain consistency with core Scottish Government, and to comply with instructions from the Cabinet Secretary, the Agency has extended this exercise to include details, on an annual basis, of all Agency Electronic Purchasing transactions (formerly termed General Procurement transactions) with a value of £500 and above. In addition, the same information will be published retrospectively for the previous financial year.

    Ministers are required to report to Parliament on the expenditure incurred each year under section 70 of the Transport Scotland Act 2001. The information which follows has been extracted from the Scottish Government’s finance system. As the finance system is maintained on an accruals basis the figures shown here reflect the actual payments made in the year, less any sums accrued from the previous financial year, plus any sums accrued at the end of the financial year. This basis is consistent with the basis on which the Scottish Government is required to present its financial statements.

  • Transport Accessibility Summit 2015 Online Survey Results Summary

    The Transport Accessibility Summit held in Edinburgh in March 2015 provided an opportunity for transport service providers and central and local government policy colleagues to find out directly from disabled people how accessibility issues affected them. Transport Scotland commissioned Research Scotland to produce a report of the findings of the day. An on-line survey was also carried out by the Scottish Disability Equality Forum to get the views of disabled people who were unable to attend the summit. The survey summary sets out the main priorities identified
