What is the Fleet Analysis Support Scheme?

A funding opportunity from Transport Scotland to help small and medium HGV operators understand how to decarbonise their fleets.

What do SMEs get?

Up to £20,000 to fund a tailored fleet decarbonisation report that will provide expert analysis of:

  • Current fleet and operations
  • Suitable zero-emission technologies
  • Infrastructure needs (e.g. depot charging)
  • Financing options (e.g. truck-as-a-service)
  • Transition plans (short, medium, long-term)

Who can apply?

Eligible SMEs should:

  • Operate out of Scotland
  • Operate 100 or fewer HGVs (vehicles over 3.5 tonnes)
  • Have a UK bank account and annual accounts

What’s required from SMEs?

  1. Complete a short application form – Transport Scotland can help you complete the form
  2. Provide basic company details and confirm eligibility
  3. Work with a data consultant to produce the report by providing them with your telematics data
  4. Receive the completed report and provide a copy to Transport Scotland
  5. Funding claimed (by operator or data supplier) before 31 March 2026
